The Wendover Arm Trust's purpose is the restoration of the canal to full navigation and its former glory. This work is undertaken by our team of volunteers under the watchful eye of Restoration Director Roger Leishman.
Restoration Working Parties
Working parties are held throughout the year, and typically take place about the beginning of each month.
Do come and see our volunteers in action restoring the canal and don't be afraid to stop and make yourselves known. Any of the lads (and lassies) will be only too pleased to stop work and have a chat to explain what is going on and to answer any questions you may have.
They are currently focussing on profiling and lining the canal between Drayton Beauchamp bridge and the footbridge 4A towards Little Tring, near Wilstone Reservoir. There is limited parking in Drayton Beauchamp village (HP22 5LT) and a car park at Wilstone reservoir (HP23 5LT).
We urgently need further help for this highly rewarding work - for further information, please contact Roger Leishman on 01442 874536 or Ray Orth on 01494 786868. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Tidy Friday work parties - light work keeping our canal, bridges and towpath looking spick and span and cared for - organised by John Reynolds - for details or to volunteer tel John on 07787 355515
